On 27th August 2025, the Refugees for Prosperity (RFP) team held a meeting with officers from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), led by Ms. Enid Ayesiga, Protection of Family Links Responsible, at the ICRC Head Office in Kololo, Kampala.
This was an introductory meeting where both organizations shared information about their respective activities and objectives. The RFP delegation, led by Acting Executive Director and Program Coordinator, Mr. Mohamed Abdirahman Yusuf, provided an overview of the organization’s work. The ICRC representatives also highlighted the humanitarian role of the ICRC in Uganda and globally, with support from its Geneva headquarters.
Discussions focused on identifying areas of collaboration and understanding how RFP and ICRC can jointly support community efforts. Although this was the first meeting, both parties expressed strong commitment to continue engagements and strengthen future cooperation.
Going forward, RFP and ICRC will continue sharing activities and reinforcing collaboration through regular engagements. We also look forward to continued meetings with different leadership teams of the ICRC Uganda office to further advance this partnership.
