Refugees for Prosperity (RFP) is a refugee-led, non-profit organization registered in Uganda and headquartered in Kampala. Founded in 2018, RFP was established to empower refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable host community members by providing opportunities that foster self-reliance, dignity, and sustainable development.
Born from the lived experiences of displacement, RFP understands the challenges refugees face, including limited access to education, employment, healthcare, legal assistance, and social inclusion. Guided by the principle that refugees are not merely beneficiaries but active contributors to society, the organization develops community-driven solutions that enable displaced populations to rebuild their lives and reach their full potential.
RFP works in partnership with government institutions, humanitarian organizations, refugee-led organizations, civil society, and local communities to deliver inclusive, high-impact programs that address both immediate humanitarian needs and long-term development priorities.
RFP was officially established in 2018 and expanded its mission in 2019 through outreach and protection services in Kampala.
